Kemtech is proud to be associated with LAMBA WELDING SYSTEMS to bring to this market world’s best & fastest friction saws for cutting of electro-forged welded gratings.
Lamba Welding Systems Ltd. are an independent Company based in the North East of England specialising in Friction Saws for the electro-forge welded gratings & wire industries. Lamba Welding Systems was founded in 1988 by Mr Brian Bates, who by that time was well experienced in the engineering industry. He created the business with a vision to provide reliable and quality resistance welding machines at a competitive price. He was also keen for the after sales service to play a large part in the business. Now housed in a new building measuring some 16,000 square feet, They are able to fully test the machines before leaving the premises. Lamba has now grown and employs 14 members of staff including Brian’s wife, Julie who has also worked there since 1988, along with their 21 year old daughter Hannah Bates, who has recently graduated with an Honours Degree in Business and Management. Lamba Welding Systems is a family run firm, based in the picturesque market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. As it has been in existence for over 25 years, Lamba’s continued objective is to sustain good business relationships with customers and suppliers.
Lamba Welding’s Friction Saw’s are developed with heavy duty Swiss precision drive motor specially developed for this application, with special nose bearings to withstand a high duty cycle of repeated cuts. All the pneumatics used on our machines are of ISO standard. A robust panel clamping mechanism forms part of each friction saw that we build to ensure no panel movement and for ease of alignment of the cut, is used along with digital measuring head. The output conveyor has pneumatically operated lifting roller for running repetitive batches, such as stair treads. All units come fitted with the latest inverter controls, incorporated with a stop/start system and mechanical interlocks of the guards to ensure operator safety. A quick change blade system ensures least possible down time. The whole fabrication is over-engineered and to ensure a long working life of the machine. Our friction saw is designed to ensure maintenance on the machine is minimal, with very few spare parts being required during their life time.
The machine is loaded with features that make it a intelligent machine. It has a regenerative drive system which puts the motor power back into the supply when braking, making it cheaper to run. It will also automatically set the blade height when cutting section larger than 40mm and step the blade down to pre-determined depths dependent upon the product code inputted. The machine scan’s by itself the incoming panel to check the height and will automatically set the blade height to the correct height, irrespective of whether the blade has been reground, resulting in a smaller diameter blade.
These saws have been in the field for over 30 years and there are over 100+ saws in existence which makes us world leaders in this application.
The company prides itself on the service that it offers, and where practicable, aims to attend a breakdown within short time of it being reported.
We design, manufacture, install, service and provide spare parts for all ranges of bespoke resistance welding machinery. At Lamba Welding Systems, we are committed to providing an efficient and professional service to all our customers. We are happy to deal with any queries our customers may have, both before and after sales. We can also offer technical advice on products and applications. We also have machine shop facilities to be able to manufacture component parts for resistance welding machines and can supply service and spare parts for major Swiss and Austrian mesh welding equipment also.
